Inspired by our golden retriever, Harry, Harry’s Golden Heart is a warm and gentle children’s picture book about kindness, love, and the quiet ways one heart can make a difference.

The book combines my writing with photographs from Harry’s life, making it both a creative project and a treasured record of the joy he has brought to our family.

I am currently preparing the photographs and working through the final stages of editing, design, and publication. I hope to share Harry’s Golden Heart with readers before the end of 2026.

The illustrations done in this book by Michelle’s daughter Charlotte are so beautiful. The photos of the real life classroom cat that this book is about at the end are so cute. This book is a perfect story to read to teach children about grieving and bereavement.
